Cyber Security Analyst

£40K - £50k based on experience

West London (W4)



Our client, a highly regarded company dealing with estate and properties, require a Cyber Security Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis.



The Cyber Security function is responsible for ensuring the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of our computer systems and sensitive information. The primary responsibility of the Cyber Security Analyst is to assist the Cyber Security Manger in day-to-day security monitoring activities, ensuring that security controls on existing systems are being maintained and defining security controls for new systems being introduced into the business.



The successful Candidate must have an analytical mind and a good understand of security controls and requirements, but will also have a pragmatic approach to security and be able to explain to the other colleagues why we put these controls in place.



Duties and Responsibilities



* Ensuring security controls on existing systems are maintained
* Resolve security issues and managing threats
* Protecting security technologies such as Firewall, Intrusion Detection, Anti-malware, Content filter and DLP
* Secure, optimise, develop the testing of existing systems
* Incident analysis and response to any security blind spots
* Be willing to expand knowledge as systems grow and new code is implemented



Person Specification



* Analytical and pragmatic thinker
* Ability to seek vulnerabilities and bugs in systems
* Understanding of security standards and regulations (ISO27001, PCI DSS, GDPR)
* Penetration testing
* Experience of working in Dynamic environments
* CISSP, CEH
* Working with 3rd Party SOC teams
