Your new role
Reporting to the directors, duties include but are not limited to:
* Taking accounts up to trial balance and preparing for the year end accounts
* Producing interim accounts
* Dealing with deferred income, prepayments and accruals
* Balance sheet reconciliations, including fixed assets
* Communicating effectively with external accountant
* Preparing and submitting the quarterly VAT returns
* Reconciling bank and credit card statements
* Monthly Payroll
* Uploading pension contributions
* Posting wage journals
Sales/Income:
* Raising and sending sales invoices
* Sending customer statements
* Reporting the sales ledger and chasing aged debts
* Posting income into Sage
Purchases/Expenses:
* Processing purchase invoices and credit notes, ensuring they are authorised and coded to the correct nominal code
* Making payments to the suppliers
* Reconciling the Purchase Ledger
* Reporting and tracking costs of sales
Other:
* Maintain staff absence and holiday records and other HR duties along with the Office Manager
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced, organised and self-motivated Finance Manager with the AAT qualification or similar.
* Experience working with Sage 50
* Excellent communication skills including good telephone manor
* Strong MS Excel skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Methodical
* Ability to work on your own and also be part of a team
Please note that because of the location, you will need to be able to drive and have your own transport.
