Science Teacher Job - January 2021

I am looking for a teacher of Science for a job starting January 2021. This Science teaching job would be perfect for someone able to teach Science at KS3 and KS4 and looking for a chance to prove themselves in a good school. Unqualified candidates or graduates looking to gain QTS may be considered.

This teaching job is based in a secondary school near to Ashford and Maidstone so would suit a candidate based in East or West Kent. The school has easy access by road and ample parking for teachers.

The successful Science teacher will be required to teach KS3 and KS4 Science courses. The Science department at this school is currently 6 teachers and a technician so there is support on hand with resources and equipment if necessary. The current curriculum and teaching standard in science are considered very good and students are engaged and enthusiastic about their learning in the subject. You will teach a varied timetable allowing you ample opportunity to demonstrate a varied delivery technique rooted in use of materials and technology and offering differentiation to manage mixed ability classes.

In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

Sufficient subject knowledge to teach Science at KS3 and KS4
Good classroom management rooted in thoughtful lesson planning and delivery
Effective differentiation techniques to tackle mixed ability classes
Innovative teaching style utilising a range of tools and media
Teamwork skills making you a valuable member of the teaching family
