I have partnered with a manufacturing company based in Sittingbourne, Kent who are looking for an external sales merchandiser to join their growing team.
This field based role will look after the South of England and will report into the UK Sales Manager.
The purpose of the role is to optimise the designated product areas within stores and trade stocklist.
The responsibilities and main duties of the role:
Regular visits to stores and stockists, working to a call cycle plan.
Monitoring of stock.
Ensuring products are displayed satisfactorily.
Maintaining point of sale materials, literature and signage.
Building relationships with store management and staff.
Explaining and promoting products to retail staff and in some cases conducting product training.
To produce and submit a weekly report detailing activity, issues, recommendations, etc.
To understand work instructions to complete the given task efficiently.
To ensure that the level of housekeeping in the designated area is maintained at a high standard at all times.
To have a flexible approach to the job and be willing to cover for other Merchandisers when required.
To be able to work independently for long periods, without constant supervision.
To show self determination to drive up the quality of the service provided.
To inform your Manager of any health and safety issues that require attention.
To keep your Manager informed of any problems with product/equipment or resources that require attention.
Attendance and time keeping is of paramount importance.
The ideal candidate:
Have an excellent attention to detail
ESSENTIAL to be a car driver due to being a field based role
Work well alone without having constant supervision
Have an excellent ability to build strong working professional relationships
Be trustworthy and reliable
Previous experience within a field based sales or merchandising role is ideal
Have a good understanding of Microsoft packages(Word/excel/outlook)
Excellent communication skills
£20,000-£21,000 base salary
