A unique New Year opportunity has arisen for a Senior Production Manager to join a Global Group permanently during a period of growth. Their product profile has expanded significantly over the last year or two with further additions due to their manufacturing portfolio supporting products for other sites within the UK.

The manufacturing process includes management of CNCs/machine Centres, assembly and other manufacturing departments.

The Senior Production Manager will be pivotal in supporting further development and improvements to their site in order to remain as leaders in their field.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring On time delivery in full, meeting expected productivity targets, panning and organising production output schedules, planning headcount requirements and managing costs associated with the operations. You will ensure Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to throughout the site, determine and manage activities through production resulting in Productivity, Inventory, quality, and delivery improvements. As a strong man manager, you will be involved in the staff appraisal and development process.

Working to KPI's, proposing and agreeing departmental budgets and production scheduling will all fall under your remit.

The person will have a strong Production, Operations management background, Production Planning knowledge and understanding of ERP / MRP systems, preferably SAP. A proven experience of implementing continuous improvement activities, Lean / Improvement training and knowledge/ qualification desirable. Background working in mechanical engineering industry with a sound understanding and proven experience using tools such as; SQDIP, visual management and problem solving.
