INTRODUCTION
My client has an opportunity for an assistant BIM manager to join their award-winning Archietect practice. They have many years’ experience developing and implementing BIM processes and protocols and are looking for a bright, engaging facilitator with the communication skills and desire necessary to help the architectural teams achieve excellence.
JOB ROLE
The role of the Assistant BIM Manager is to support the BIM Manager in the delivery of training tostaff in the effective and efficient use of BIM tools and processes in their everyday work.
The practice specialises in openBIM and interoperability and the successful candidate will have working knowledge of collaborative processes in the construction industry. The practice utilises ARCHICAD and Solibri as their primary BIM software.
Under the guidance of the BIM manager and Studio Team Leaders, the assistant BIM Manager will:
• Maintain and deliver training to staff in bond
• sterham as well as other locations when necessary
• Support users through BIM support services and troubleshooting
• Assist project teams to set up/manage models and deliver BIM outputs
• Improve consistency and quality within the applications and outputs
• Assist in the planning and delivery of short- and long-term training strategies and programmes to staff, through group and individual training sessions
• Assess the quality of BIM models and assist teams to improve quality and reliability of modelling and data outputs, both formally and informally
• Assist in analysing information requirements arising from national and international standards, client and project requirements from BEPs and EIRs and learn to advise staff on implementation and best practice
• Assist staff with training in clash detection processes using Solibri
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Working knowledge using Archicad on UK construction projects over £1M
• Awareness of model checking, validation, verification and COBie outputs, preferably in Solibri
• Apply a methodical approach in order to achieve successful outcomes
• Keen to work collaboratively with staff who have a wide range of experience and perspectives
• Able to explain technical issues in plain language
• Excellent communication skills and a logical way of thinking, with an open and proactive manner
• Contribute positively to encouraging consistency

Hours per week: 37.5.
