Extra Care Scheme Manager, Fix Term for 6 Months, Sevenoaks, 37 hours

Your new role

Purpose of job - Deliver a vibrant and successful extra care scheme ensuring tenants receive a positive customer experience at all times.

Responsibilities

* Effectively manage all aspects of housing related services to provide a high quality housing management service to tenants.

* Monitor and action low level rent arrears cases in accordance with Housing policies and procedures.

* Line manage and develop the extra care scheme assistant ensuring objectives are met and performance maintained to a high standard.

* Take ownership of the scheme Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and responsibility for ensuring their achievement and reporting to timescale.

* Build positive working relationships with the care providers, cleaning, catering and facilities management contractors to ensure tenants receive a seamless service.

* Develop and maintain a varied activities programme which links in with the local community and encourage tenants to support their own activities.

* Implement any required health and Safety and fire checks for the scheme.

* Deliver an excellent level of service to customers ensuring that their needs are met.

* Ensure safeguarding concerns are dealt with.

* Maintain confidentiality regarding any sensitive information you come across in the course of your work, ensuring professional boundaries are adhered to.

* Act in accordance with West Kent's commitment to equality and diversity by treating everyone with respect.

* Undertake any additional duties that may be required to meet the varying demands of West Kent and deliver a great service to our customers.

What you'll need to succeed

Knowledge, skills and experience


* Desire to work in extra care with a good understanding and knowledge of the issues facing the older people's housing sector.

* Experience of delivering excellent customer services.

* Able to use Microsoft office packages. Confident using new or bespoke ICT systems and databases.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor written and verbal communication to suit individual needs.

* Demonstrate ability to analyse and prioritise workload and be able to work under pressure.

* Ability to build relationships and gain trust while maintaining professional boundaries.

* Ability to make confident decisions in any situation using sound judgement.

* Take practical, solution focused approach to solving issues in a timely manner.

* Highly motivated, resilient and able to work on own initiative.

* Experience of working towards team goals and key performance indicators.

* Commitment to applying equality and diversity to customer service.

* Experience and understanding of the ways to work collaboratively with different partners and stakeholders to achieve joined up solutions.

* Appropriate level of fitness to be able to respond to emergency situations and key aspects of the role.
