This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands on Warehouse Manager to join a global manufacturing company on a permanent basis.
As an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading, motivating and empowering a team of 20+ Warehouse Operators and Drivers to ensure the delivering of an efficient service and warehouse management. This role is critical in championing Lean ways of working and striving to continuously improve their processes and procedures.
The 2 key areas of experience we are recruiting for are an excellent understanding of managing Dangerous Goods, and also management of a fleet of vehicles (comprising goods vehicles & MHE) this includes the ownership of our Goods Vehicle Operating Licence.
We are welcoming application from candidate who fit the following criteria:
Experienced Warehouse Operations Manager from a fast-moving logistics environment.
Have demonstrable experience of leading and managing a large diverse Warehouse Operations Team.
Be an inclusive manager, able to coach and develop a team to meet targets and continuously progress and develop.
Have operational experience from a Warehouse and/or Distribution role.
Have demonstrable experience of implementing continuous improvement projects.
Have excellent communication skills, able to forge close relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Have experience of managing employees/agency workers to ensure appropriate resource/cover to meet operational demands.
Be an experienced SAP user in a stock control/warehouse management role.
Additionally, the following are desirable:
Qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor
Lean Qualified
Experience in a stock control role
Previous responsibility for MHE/Fleet management
