An exciting opportunity for a Community Safety Specialist has arisen to work within the Environmental Protection Team. The successful candidate will work with partners such as Kent Police, Social Services and Probation to oversee community safety projects and new initiatives, developing partnerships with key stakeholders, volunteer sector and community groups. The post holder will chair meetings and signpost partners to support and agencies for assistance, respond to crime and safety concerns and act on Anti-Social Behaviour activity on behalf of the council. You should have experience in these areas as well as having enforcement knowledge or experience in order to prepare legal files and give evidence in court. Knowledge of managing budgets and grants would be an advantage as the post holder will undertake this work for the Council and the Police & Crime Commissioner.
This position is expected to last 6 months and the successful candidate will also need to be DBS Enhanced checked and NVVP Level 2 vetted for Police.
