We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer to join a small team. You will be working on new software applications, as well as upgrading and maintaining existing products. The successful candidate will be passionate to learn and further develop their own skills, and have the self-drive and determination to resource and acquire new skills.

This is the perfect role for a graduate, dedicated hobbyist, or a developer working in a smaller agency environment, familiar with web development technologies and able to provide full stack development (from beautiful front-end user experiences, to scalable and efficient back-end applications). There will be plenty of opportunity for self-development and learning new technologies.

This role is predominantly for software development, but a portion of your time will be used providing general IT user support, as well as providing management information from our databases. You will also get involved in server, infrastructure administration, and data security.


Key Requirements:

PHP (e.g. Laravel, MVC framework) - Demonstrable knowledge of programming methodologies, including OOP
HTML5 / CSS3 / Javascript
SQL (e.g. MySQL, MS SQL) - Demonstrable knowledge of database design and normalisation


Desirable:

CSS3 (compilers are a bonus: SASS, SCSS, etc)
Javascript (any frameworks are a bonus: Vue.js, React, jQuery, etc)
Source control using GIT
Developing well-documented, scalable and reliable applications and micro-services
Maintain and develop REST API's


Good to know:

C# .NET Core
Azure / Active Directory / Group Policies
IT Infrastructure (Hardware / Software / Network)
Strong understand of Data Security (PCI DSS / Cyber Essentials / ISO27001)
Data analysis / Management information
Business Systems Analysis
