An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a transport and logistics business at their Dover office as they look to recruit a Transport Manager.

Reporting directly to the Head of International Operations the purpose of this role is to manage the Full Truck Load and Fleet department which consists of 100+ trucks and 3rd party traction hauliers.

To be considered for this role you must have at least 3 + years Senior Planner experience or International Transport planning experience. You will be an effective communicator, able to manage a team and provide advice, guidance and coaching to the staff, ensuring maximum efficiency and provide a high level of customer service for clients throughout the UK & Europe.

You will also have demonstrable experience of leading a team with proven experience in a people facing role, have strong communication skills have had International Transport Planning experience with a strong focus on own fleet/3rd party traction operations

About the role:

* Management and monitoring of the Fleet's performance, providing weekly reports to Senior Management
* Manage the 100 + trucks and have demonstrable experience of planning and dealing with the complexities of a large number of vehicles throughout Europe
* P&L responsibility for the FTL Fleet department and Groupage department.
* Commercial awareness of European Export and Import pricing to complete tenders and be able to provide pricing on fleet costings.
