CLAIMS BROKER/ANALYST to £47,000
City based with flexible WFH
This is a great role for someone who is perhaps looking for their next step We want a really good claims technician who is happy to crunch the data but also a good Broker. If they are more technical than broking we can develop their broking skills.
ï·Provide a pro-active service to clients to expedite the settlement of claims, liaising between all parties and actively chasing information.
ï·Gather and produce claims information for Clients, Producers, Brokers and Account Executives.
ï·To keep the relevant Producer/Account Executive/BBU Technician informed as to the status of claims and general business issues.
ï·Correspond with Clients/Underwriters and resolve any queries that arise.
ï·Collate complete, accurate and meaningful information for Insurers.
ï·Update electronic records and manual claims files.
ï·To ensure compliance with relevant Company and Market Rules and Procedures.
ï·To ensure that the Company's workflow systems are updated promptly to reflect the current status of any claim.
ï·To record and deal promptly with any telephone enquiries/other verbal enquiries, exercising own judgement, based upon knowledge and experience, as to when to refer to senior colleagues.
ï·To report breaches, errors & omissions, disputes and complaints.
ï·Understand the insurance cover of each client.
ï·Manage and undertake assigned project work to time scales as directed.
Essentials:
ï·3-5+ years' claims and technical experience
ï·Collaborative team working approach
ï·Ability to work to tight deadlines
ï·Strong negotiation and influencing skills
ï·Ability to build and maintain profitable long-term relationships with clients and insurers
ï·Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
ï·Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
ï·Accurate and attentive to detail
ï·Ability to work with employees at all organisational levels
Desirables:
ï·Supervision of one other, albeit managing appraisal/performance, or desire to manage one other
ï·Proficiency in MS Outlook (email)
ï·Power BI experience
ï·Advanced level proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
