Are you an experienced research analyst used to conducting high level research and reporting and translating data into meaningful information for different audiences?

The Higher Education Access Track (HEAT) service supports more than 100 universities and other providers of higher education (HE) outreach activities and helps members with the targeting, monitoring and evaluation of outreach work.

The team is now seeking a Research Analyst to advise on data collection and analytical techniques that yield the robust evaluation and impact reporting required by the sector. You will need to have a good understanding of quantitative and qualitative analysis for monitoring and evaluating widening participation projects along with excellent verbal and written communication skills to relay complex information in an engaging and accessible way.

The role is based at our Canterbury campus, however, there is the option of full remote-working for this post.

As Research Analyst you will:
provide high quality quantitative data analysis and impact reporting for HEAT member Outreach Providers
contribute to innovative business intelligence solutions using data to provide intelligence that aids Providers in meeting their regulatory requirements
play a leading role in identifying analytical techniques that make full use of HEAT's longitudinal tracking dataset in order to provide sector evidence on the impact of outreach interventions
deliver analytical training and advice and share analytical expertise with external colleagues in universities

To be successful in this role you will have:
BA/BSc in a relevant degree (Social Science) or equivalent
proven experience of designing evaluation to examine the impact of a social intervention
experience of applying analytical techniques to data to generate meaningful information on a social issue
knowledge and empathy with the issues surrounding widening participation and inclusiveness in Higher Education and policy issues
