We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer, for an award winning manufacturer of plastic products based in North Kent
This position will be suited to a conscientious and reliable individual who has a flexible approach to work duties and a right first time every time attitude. In addition, a good proactive approach to Health & Safety and quality is essential.

We are a multinational operation supplying goods to building and plumbing suppliers across the country, this position is very fast paced but extremely rewarding.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic with a positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.
we operate a 2 shift system after a period of training, while training the hours of work will be 0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager the day to day duties for the role will include but are not limited to the following :

• Responsible for the maintenance of the Automated Assembly, Cast Iron Spray-Shop, Fabrication Department, and the Flo-Fit Production
Department.

• To tool change the automatic machinery to ensure that the efficiency of the machine is maintained, and the quality of the product
produced is also maintained.

• To monitor the automatic bagging machines and ensure the correct size bag is produced and that efficiency is maintained at the required
standard.

• Tool change the automatic machinery when required following the production planning schedule.

• Ensure that a stock of essential parts is maintained on site to reduce downtime caused by breakdowns

• Complete safety audits on each machine and record all test procedures on a regular basis.

• You will be responsible for general site maintenance, and oversea any site contractor working in any area or department for which you as
part of a team are responsible.

• Ensure that the Operations Manager and the Production Planner are fully aware of any breakdowns/ lost time with estimates of time to
resolve the problem.

Key requirements for this role

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ/B-tec Engineering or minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar field

• Good team working ethic and skills

• Reliability

• Flexible and willing to do whatever is needed

• Take responsibility to ensure the job gets done

• Flexible approach to working hours
