Our client near Lympne are looking to recruit a part time Payroll Officer to join their busy finance team. This position is 30 hours per week (M-F 9am-3pm). This role will be pivotal to ensuring that payroll is provided to circa 550 employees and in this role you will work alongside a number of managers to ensure payroll is paid on time and accurately.
Role and Responsibilities
* Administration & payment of monthly salaries for 6 payrolls plus 1 TRONC payroll, circa 550 employees in total
* Manage and co-ordinate end to end payroll processes
* Meet all payroll deadlines including BACS, RT1 submissions and process year end forms.
* Handling of enquiries from HMRC & pension organisations
* Preparation of monthly payroll journals
About You
* Demonstrable experience within a Payroll position.
* Experience of running a large computerised payroll
* Demonstrated experience with Time and Attendance systems
* IT proficient especially with Word, Outlook and Excel (including manipulation of Vlook up formulas/Xlookup
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
