Must have some flexibility to work overtime schedule when required which will be 7.00-8.30am or 5.00-7.00pm

We are working with a leading manufacturing business who are focused on sustainability while continuing to deliver a high-quality product and service to their global clients.

The role is a Production Supervisor to manage the shift and all direct staff. This will be to ensure the smooth running of the production process and ensure that all products are produced to the specified standards. This person will take responsibility for targets and deadlines being met to achieve the orders and that all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.

This position will report to the Production Manager and oversee circa 20 staff across Maintenance Technicians, Inspectors, Goods in/Fork Lift Drivers and Machine Operators.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you are hands-on and can lead by example in all areas of the factory.

Key responsibilities
*Take responsibility of the shift; management of staff, production and quality targets to ensure the smooth running of the production processes
*Take full responsibility of the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with the company's quality systems, processes and procedures
*Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff
*Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance
*Ensure good communication is given either verbally or written
*Ensure H&S rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift
*Problem solving and troubling shooting skills to identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand
*Work closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure handovers are effective
*Ensure training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift
*Have an active role in the company's continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth
*Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace
*All employees are responsible for ensuring company resources are used in an effective manner to ensure best operating costs
