Job summary:

Working within nutritional supplement manufacturing site, in a clean room environment.
Working in the tablet and capsulation areas. Processing of pre blended powders into tablets or capsules to a pre-defined specification. Continual checks to machine and product whilst ensuring that paperwork is completed to maintain a GMP standards. Setup, running and cleaning of a tablet or capsule machine.

Key Tasks /Responsibilities:

Ø Ensuring Good Manufacturing Standards (GMP) are always adhered to.

Ø Supporting the business in: right first time (RFT), continuous improvement and minimizing wastage

Ø Setting, tooling and de-tooling, operation and run corrections to ensure product is produced consistently to a required specification.

Ø Loading and unloading of tablet press or capsule machine

Ø Controlling of Production CCP’s

Ø Working with allergens and probiotics whilst ensuring that segregation is maintained at all times

Ø Constant monitoring of product to ensure production run is within the specification as set out by the company as well as to a high standard.

Ø Making of adjustments to be made when required to improve machinery efficiency.

Ø Completion of paperwork to GMP standards at predefined time to ensure product is made to specification and safe for consumption. Completion of daily machine checks and pre manufacturing checks.

Ø Working at speed with high attention to detail to maintain a high yield level on production whilst minimizing defects and maintaining efficiencies.

Ø Effective communication with team members and managers to monitor schedule, performance and improve planning of the process

Ø Basic maintenance on machinery to maintain run efficiency and optimization of assets.

Ø Cleaning of machines using hoovers, brushes and chemicals to required standards.

Ø Reporting any issues immediately to line manager.

Ø Performing of prestart and post start checks

Ø Problem solving to ensure that all product is processed correctly

Ø Helping to maintain a clean as you go policy.

Ø Lifting of ingredients and machine parts up to 25 kg.

Ø Ensuring tasks are being carried out in accordance with the sites Health and Safety and Food Safety

Ø Any other reasonable duties associated with the role.

Salary dependent on experience (starting at £9.50ph). We have an innovative structure where lower level employeed who have a desire to learn can quickly progress. As skills and leadership levels improve, as does oppurtunity for increased pay.

Predominantly 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, however alternative shifts are available with option for 4 on 3 off 12hr shifts.
