We currently have a vacancy for a Saw Operator within our Advantage department at our Aylesford Site.

Our Saw Operator will ensure that quality products are cut on the Semi-automated saw as per the programme of work, in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities include:

• Set up and operate saw ensuring that outputs / standards are met, in a safe manner at all times.
• Ensuring the material always meets quality specifications and raise issues accordingly with Team Leader, Make cost-effective cutting decisions.
• Ensure that the work area is safe, clean and organised at all times, including ensuring that equipment is safe to operate.

The ideal candidate will the following knowledge, experience, skillset, and behaviours:

• Work in a safe manner at all times, complying with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
• Previous manufacturing or saw operating experience.
• Ability to use machinery and saw in a safe manner.
• Attention to detail and ability to measure accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and committed.
• Flexible and willing to undertake roles as trained/requested and willing to work 2-shift where required.
• Ability to read and follow written or verbal instructions and work to the required standards.
• Self-motivated, flexible and hardworking with good communication skills and a positive attitude.

The hours of this role are 8 am – 4 pm on Monday - Thursday and 6 am – 12 pm on Friday i.e. 38 hours per week
