IT Support Engineer - 1st/2nd Line Support
Our client based in the East Kent area have an exciting opportunity for an experienced 1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join the business on a permanent basis. You will provide IT support in a deskside fashion.
My client is looking for a proactive individual who has excellent incident and problem analysis, diagnosis, and resolution skills. You will ensure all incidents and requests are resolved and implemented to agreed standards and timescales.
Your key responsibilities:
*Build and manage all supplier relationships on IT Hardware, Networks and Security
*Maintain servers, firewalls, VPN and intranet alongside 3rd party providers
*Monitor Server, Network, ERP, applications status and performance
*Act as an escalation point for local ERP issues, Service Desk, researching and resolving more complex or time-consuming issues
*Manage local Service Desk issues in accordance with service level agreement
*Liaise and collaborate with internal IT Support Team members across the business
*Manage local ERP, Network and application upgrades
*Set up all user accounts for ERP, Network and applications
*Set up all new IT equipment for staff
*Keep the hardware inventory records up to date
*Support the company's phone systems
*Ensure all relevant devices connected to the server have appropriate security in place
*Assist in the repairing of equipment failures
Experience:
*Managed Service Provider Experience
*Knowledge of Windows Server and Exchange
*A knowledge of DELMIAworks (IQMS) ERP would be an advantage
*Experience supporting Windows 10, Microsoft Office and Active Directory
Skills:
*Problem analysis
*A proactive approach
*Ability to prioritise tasks
*Excellent time keeping skills
