Commercial Finance Manager | Mid Kent | Up to £55k

This is a newly created role within a multi-site manufacturing business and the purpose of the role is to provide financial support to the businesses as a whole. The Finance Manager will be the primary contact for the Commercial and Operational teams in the business.

As this is not a “back office role”, you will be highly visible within the business therefore, you must be a commercially focussed individual who puts the customer first and proactively seeks solutions to problems. You will be required to build strong relationships internally and externally and demonstrate effective communication skills within this role.

You will be responsible for:
• Preparing and publishing timely and accurate monthly management accounts
• Analysing business performance and providing explanations for variances to budget, forecast and prior year
• Leading the annual budget and monthly forecast processes, advising and challenging the tactical and strategic assumptions being made
• Proactively identifying and improving finance and business processes to ensure fast, accurate management information is available
• Maintaining and improving financial control, including maintaining a clean balance sheet for the businesses

You will be a qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) accountant with experience in the construction or manufacturing sectors and you will be familiar with managing stock and cost centres.
