Estimating Assistant

Pearson Whiffin has an amazing opportunity for a fresh Estimating Assistant to join a great team within a brilliant; still growing company based in mid Kent.

Key Responsibilities:

* Help to collate and prioritise new project enquiries according to applicability to the firm's requirements and guidance from the line manager
* Review RFQ documents selecting key specifications and missing details
* Generate costings using internal M-Net costing system and provide formal quotations for various customers and numerous projects
* Identify M-Net costing system issues and log shortfalls for review by the wider team
* Proactively manage project proposal and costings throughput
* Be flexible to learn new things and take on different responsibilities



For this role you must have/be:

* Educated to degree level with a professional qualification or equivalent
* Experience working within construction (Desirable)
* Purchasing experience (Desirable)
* MUST have AutoCAD experience
* Experience working within an office-based environment
* Strong Project management skills
* Great communication skills
* Excellent IT skills (MS Office)
* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to different situations
* Knowledge and appreciation of good customer service
* Confident and clear when speaking on the phone



You will be providing support and assistance to the sales team by quoting projects which will also involve an element of design. You will be responsible for the review of proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work required.
