Our Client is a manufacture of a leading UK brand and has an exciting opportunity to join them as Purchasing and Stock Control Assistant working at their UK HQ in Rochester.
We are looking for a candidate with a background of working in materials control as well as experience within an office environment.
The objective of this role is to order raw materials for the production requirements and ensure that all deliveries are received and recorded accurately.
Duties will include:
* Raising raw material orders when minimum stock levels are reached
* Monitoring and maintaining computerised stock system to ensure an accurate record of stock movement is kept
* Identifying and highlighting any queries to the Data & Purchasing Manager
* Updating stock records and highlighting slow moving stocks
* Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records
* Generate monthly supplier rejection reports or as and when requested
The ideal candidate will need to be well organised and capable of working to deadlines. You should be a proactive individual with good numeracy and an eye for detail.
Our client uses multiple systems so a good solid knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel, and MRP is key to this role. If you have experience of SAGE purchasing systems this would be an advantage.
This is a full time permanent role working 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 3.30pm Friday.
