We are looking for a Billing Manager to join a Global Firm. This position is based in Kent and there will be Hybrid working. This is a newly created role managing a highly skilled team of Billing Specialists.
The Role
-Responsible for aspects of the billing within the GB operations, including query resolution and discrepancy resolution
-Oversee the key aspects of the monthly billing process, including detailed analysis of the main monthly billing run and ensuring controls are maintained and billing variances are reconciled and processed, monitoring the incoming information flow required to process invoices and escalated when necessary
-Monthly control reports analysing data to ensure billing integrity
-Regular reporting to the senior finance team on status of the billing output and working capital reporting
-Ensure VAT is accounted for correctly on all invoices
-Ad hoc project work as required
Skills & Attributes:
-Proactive and committed, honest and trustworthy
-Strong communication skills, both written, verbal and presentational
-Customer focused, understanding the needs of customers and the importance of providing solutions to satisfy short and long-term objectives.
-Knowledge of VAT
-Advanced Excel skills are highly desirable
-Negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively and influentially at all levels
-Builds effective relationships through positive communication that motivates and influences others
This is an excellent role for someone with a wealth of experience who can come in and make changes to the current way the process is working. This will involve system work and upskilling of the current billing team.
