International Compliance Manager

Salary to £80,000 + package

Hybrid working - City of London & Home



Role context :

An opportunity to join a dynamic, global and multi-faceted Lloyds insurance & reinsurance broker and Coverholder. To assist the Risk and Compliance Director with embedding the Accountability, Risk and Compliance Framework within various overseas offices of the group.



Accountabilities:

* Take the lead in applying the group Accountability, Risk and Compliance Framework to the non-UK businesses to aid in the discharging of Accountability, Risk Management and Compliance in a consistent way.
* Risk Framework Apply the Group and Risk appetites to ensure no office is operating outside of the Risk Appetite and implement consistent risk reporting against these obligations.
* Compliance Apply all Group Policies and work with Group Risk and Compliance to determine the merits of UK based business standards and where they do not apply develop an alternative framework designed to comply with local regulatory obligations.
* Accountability Work with the Risk and Compliance Director to implement a governance framework to identify local vs UK responsibilities and accountabilities.
* Monitor overseas regulatory developments and ensure the group entities respond appropriately
* Prepare detailed reports for, and attend, the International Executive Committee
* Manage, prepare, and monitor overseas licensing application and submissions.
* Ensure Compliance has appropriate second line oversight of business practices/processes that are intended to ensure our operations are compliant at all levels.
* Support the function in liaising with Group Internal Audit, Group Compliance Monitoring and External Auditors to provide relevant requested information and manage any resulting actions points identified by reviews undertaken.
* Assist the Risk and Compliance Director with the provision of information and updates to be included within Board packs and/or discussion papers and support the function for various committees as required.
* Assisting the Risk and Compliance Director in regulatory change projects as and when required, including annual reviews of integrated regulatory change.



Key experience and knowledge:



* An in-depth understanding of the regulatory and compliance environment with particular knowledge of the general insurance market.
* Exposure to compliance requirements applicable to FCA/ Lloyds and ideally, overseas territories.
* Experience liaising with regulators, auditors and enforcement agencies
