Senior Payroll Officer (up to £34,300 per annum)

Your new company
An established public sector organisation based in Ashford. The Senior Payroll Officer role is a permanent and full time position. The position will sit within the HR and Payroll Team, with another 2 Payroll Officers making up the team. There are 12 positions within the HR and Payroll team as a whole.

Your new role
You will report to the Payroll Team Leader and be responsible for the delivery of the payroll service. This role has two main focus areas (1) to oversee the processing and checking of the monthly payroll for over 1000 approx. individuals, and (2) to maintain, configure, and develop the organisation's iTrent HR and Payroll system.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of working in a busy payroll environment (not a bureau of weekly payroll). You will have good experience of system administration of a financial database/system. You will be digitally adept and confident. You will have experience of providing technical advice to managers on payroll issues, as well as maintaining payroll procedure notes.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary of up to £34,300 per annum. There are hybrid working options available to allow for both remote and office-based working. Flexible working options available.
