Financial Accountants Job - Bromley Area - Financial Services Sector - £40k to £45k Pro Rata - ACA, ACCA, CIMA

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join this leading financial services business on a 6 month fixed term contract.

Your new role
This role requires a self-starter who can maintain accuracy under tight deadlines. It will be important for the role holder to work closely with the other members of the team, wider Finance, Systems, Customer Services and Claims departments.
Key Responsibilities & Duties

* Investigation into balance sheet reconciliations and other issues
* Ensure all accounting entries are correctly coded with appropriate audit trails
* Assisting with Month end close
* Acting as a Finance business partner within the business, including supporting the expense budgeting /forecasting process
* Assist with various business transformation projects within Finance
* Assist with financial control and operational duties such as accounts payable, bank reconciliations, expense processing and invoicing
* Prepare quarterly VAT returns
* Assist with the review of payments out.
* Provide cover for daily unit pricing, appropriations and treasury operations.
* Assist with Audit requirements during the year end close

What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to be an experienced and hands on Financial Accountant who can hit the ground running to support the senior leadership team across a broad range of financial activities. Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills, knowledge of Sun general ledger and knowledge of Fund management and Investments would be advantageous. As would a relevant financial qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
