School Nurse.
Salary – dependent on experience, based on the RN scale (Band 6).
Start date – September 2022 or as soon as possible.
Working hours – 23 hours per week, term time only.
Duration – Temporary. Initially until Summer term 2023, to be discussed.
Do you enjoy working with children and young people? Are you a sensitive, responsive, and clear communicator with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team? We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic RN (Band 6) to join our nursing team; they will be a caring person who strives to give the best pro-active patient care to our pupils. The successful candidate would be required to start from September 2022 (or sooner if possible).
The successful candidate will have accurate medical data recording skills and good IT skills. Previous experience of working with children and young people is highly desirable. Experience in minor injuries, chronic disease management, and child mental health would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will complement our current team of Nurses who provide health care for 80 boarders and 300-day pupils aged between 3 and 13 years of age. The School’s Health Centre is staffed during term time and operates a set rota system. In the future, the hours may involve a 24-hour service.
