Trainee Real Estate Underwriter - £25,000

GRADUATE OR SCHOOL COLLEGE LEAVER OPPORTUNITY

Based in Guildford - Hybrid working - 3 days in office/2 days at home



Our client is a global leader in insurance, risk management and consulting services. Looking for a Trainee Assistant Underwriter to join a busy team based in the Guildford office. This role will require you to split your time 3 days in the guildford office and 2 days working from home.



Key Duties:

- Balancing new business, renewal, rating and adjustment enquiries from your clients.

- Dealing with claims cover requests, ensuring you align to our service standards.

- Contacting Brokers during renewal negotiations.

- Speaking to the accounts team to handle any financial queries that arise.

- Using proven analytical skills to provide statistics on some of your more difficult cases.

- Detect and assess risks that are considered both 'standard' and 'non-standard'.

- Ensuring that the best Underwriting terms have been met

- Liaising with Insurers



Person Skills/ Qualifications:

- Educated to degree/ A-Level standard or equivalent.

- Knowledge of general insurance

- Cleverly extract and piece together information from a broad range of different sources

- Strong communication and social skills with clients and colleagues alike

- Excellent Numerical skills

- A strong analytical, problem solving approach and dedicated attitude

- Motivated, ambitious and compassionate with ability to communicate well at all levels



This is a trainee position and would suit someone looking to start their career within the Insurance market in a role that provides excellent training, development and progression opportunities.



MUST be able to easily travel to Guildford.
