We are currently working with a leading National organisation that provide bespoke solutions for the commercial vehicle sector.

Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their established team on a full time, permanent basis.

The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger in entirety, posting of journals, petty cash management, reporting and general administration duties.

Responsibilities will include:

Processing purchase invoices and credit notes
Preparing supplier payment runs for authorisation
Posting the payments on the system and emailing remittance advices
Opening new supplier accounts
Petty cash management and month end reconciliation
Posting journals as required
Ability to differentiate and deal with HP/Financed and rented equipment and vehicles
Reconciling monthly expenses on company credit cards
Regular auditing
Developing junior staff

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Working knowledge of an add-on Invoicing software package
Previous purchase ledger experience
Working experience of SAP system or similar
IT literacy including good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent communication and numeracy skills
Good telephone manner and confidence making and receiving calls

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that can offer ongoing career development and progression. Hours for this role are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with flexitime.
