We are currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant, to work alongside the Catering Supervisor, required full time Monday to Friday, 6.30am – 2.45pm, based at our Paddock Wood Depot.

Helping to manage our catering provision, delivering a high quality service in order to ensure that all personnel nutritional and dietary needs are met, you will help with the responsibility for managing the efficiency, hygiene and safety standards of the catering area. Working with a team of catering personnel, you will create menu plans, check the ordering of catering supplies and prepare appetising and nutritious meals for our employees.

Previous experience of catering for a large number of people is essential as is a basic food hygiene certificate and a catering qualification plus flexibility to cover additional hours when required.

The role will also include covering the night shift, Sunday to Thursday, hours 4pm – 12pm, for holiday and sickness periods, this will be on a rota basis with other catering staff. You will be responsible for carrying out daily temperature monitoring checks and recording and stock reconciliation. Excellent communication skills are required, with a pleasant outgoing personality as this will be a customer facing environment.
