The Atlas Recruitment Group are currently searching for a well-versed Technical Security Professional to join a growing Cloud Transformation Consultancy as their Head of Technical Security. This is a brand-new role so a real opportunity to shape it into your own and work across a greenfield environment.

The organisation specialise in servicing the Public Sector and consulting with their customers back-office teams to transform their on-premise infrastructure, into a cloud-based managed solution running on the latest Microsoft tech.

As their Head of Technical Security, you will be leading a team of 15 Security Professionals and holding responsibility for the companies overall Security position both internally and for customers. You will play a key role in designing, delivering and enabling Cyber Security vision and strategy. Due to the nature of the role, a background in leadership/management and experience working for an MSP is required.

Key Responsibilities:

* In collaboration with the CISO develop and implement technical security strategies across the business.
* Lead a team of technical security subject matter experts.
* Own the design, planning and delivery of technical security solutions across the organisation.
* Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic and technical goals.
* Supervise, monitor & report on the implementation, configuration and handover of all technical security projects.
* Lead the request for proposal, bid, procurement, design, installation, configuration, commissioning and maintenance of IT security systems throughout the business.
* Continuously review existing systems and practices to provide operational effectiveness, ensuring this is compatible with the culture and business of the organisation.
* Establish & develop technical security standards that foster realizable practices, policies and procedures to ensure quality and operational effectiveness.
* Form business partnerships that help drive the goals & objectives of the business, as well as the IT security strategy, forward.
* Provide recommendations for technical security solutions, vendors and integrators based on standards and requirements.
* Be a part of the Major Incident Management process and, where appropriate, guide or lead investigations after breaches or incidents.
