LOCATION:

Office-based at our head offices in Tonbridge, Kent.

ROLE:

The position of Trainer is to provide the best possible training to new and current carers. We are an award-winning training centre and recognised as a Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care.

KEY DUTIES:

· Deliver in house training courses:

· Deliver structured courses both face to face and virtually

· Support and monitor carers appropriately during training sessions

· Complete carer training performance records for each session

· Review and update current in-house courses regularly in line with national occupational standards and sector guidelines

Undertake associated administration and record keeping:

· Book carers onto training courses when administrative support is not available

· Complete carer training records and associated administrative records

Communicate with all relevant individuals and departments:

· Support new and updating carers through the current online/virtual/practical induction and update courses

· Communicate and liaise with all departments

· Attend scheduled departmental meetings

· Report concerns to departmental manager

· Provide practical advice and pastoral support to carers on the phone or in person

· Signpost carers to appropriate persons/facilities

Continuing professional development:

· Attend mandatory training in line with regulatory requirements

· Attend other relevant training courses

· Attend relevant seminars or conferences

· Maintain current and relevant CPD record

· Nursing or caring background essential

· Training experience preferred but not essential

· Current knowledge of moving and positioning preferred but not essential

· Level 2 Diploma/NVQ in Health & Social Care

· Assessor qualification preferred but not essential

· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships

· Highly organised

· Attention to detail
