Billing Team Leader

My client is a water supplier for the south of England and they are looking to hire a Billing Team Leader for their Customer Service Department.

You will be reporting into the Head of Revenue and Extra Care and the Manager of the Billing team leader is accountable for managing the end-to-end billing processes, Overall Customer Satisfaction and SLA Adherence. In addition to these functions the role may be required to manage and support other business areas and functions as reasonably required.

Responsibilities:

You will be Facilitating our workforce management and planning team through accurate and timely reporting for all billing, mail schedules, and campaigns, Supporting and motivating the team in order to provide a first-class service to our customers, resolving all possible enquiries first time, Managing and coaching high-quality performance, advocating and communicating business change effectively. Taking ownership for team performance and driving through actions in order to maintain, streamline, and improve service, Identify and deliver continuous improvements to systems and processes. Ensure that key department processes are regularly analysed and reported, enabling any gaps or process failures to be identified, interrogated and improved to avoid further failure and cost, escalation point and liaison for other departments in order to resolve customer queries relating to billing.

You will need to have understanding of customer service and satisfaction performance with an ability to recognise strategic improvements, recognising opportunities to go 'above and beyond' for both our customers and colleagues, actively understanding our metering programme and campaigns, and our billing schedules, inclusive of exceptions management and mailing processes, support our revenue control processes and audit requirements, supporting the Head of Revenue and Extra Care in strategy design and innovation, actively sharing best practice with our colleagues and helping to promote an innovative and continuous improvement culture.
