Welder/ Fabricator

Biggin Hill

£25k - £35k DOE

Monday to Friday (8am-5pm)



A Fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Metal Fabricator/Welder to join a really successful and culture focused organisation based in Biggin Hill.



The overall objective of this role is to lay out, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms using knowledge and experience of various welding techniques.



My client is open to a junior who has a strong interest in starting a career in welding or an experience welder looking for a new challenge!



Duties include:

* Reading technical drawings and creating products accordingly through fabrication of metal
* Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemble according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler
* Weld components and assemble, using Tig and Mig Welding equipment
* Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments
* Analyse engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
* Observe tests on welded surfaces, to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specification
* Working to all health and safety rules and regulations



The right candidate will have/ be:

* A highly experience Fabricator/ Welder with solid previous experience
* A junior with a strong interest in Welding would be considered for this role
* Strong attention to detail
* A positive mind-set who will support team members
* The ability to work under pressure
* Excellent time management
* The natural ability to be practical with cost effectiveness
