Pearson Whiffin Education are seeking Supply Teachers / Cover Teachers for subject specialist cover jobs in Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. We have cover teaching jobs for teachers of Maths, Science, English, Art, DT, Humanities, Business Studies and for general cover opportunities.

Supply Teachers can provide a vital service to schools during times of need offering subject specialist cover in the absence of permanently employed teachers. Roles can be from 2 weeks to 2 terms and many temporary jobs offer a gateway to more permanent teaching jobs.

Being a subject specific supply teacher means:

If you are more interested in supply teaching please read on. Being a supply teacher means moulding a job to suit your needs. You could opt for greater flexibility and variety taking daily and weekly placements. You could take only short blocks of subject specialist cover or you could become a long-term specialist covering maternity or similar assignments in your specialist subject.

Pay rates are flexible, you can choose your days and you can be as selective as you need to be on location and schools you would like to work in. We support schools across Thanet and Canterbury and right across Kent to Dartford and Tunbridge Wells.

In order to qualify as a supply teacher, you will need:

* A DBS or be willing to undertake a new DBS
* Permission to work in the UK
* Qualifications or experience relating to teaching work
* Good references showing classroom work
