Purchase Ledger Assistant - Full Time

Hybrid Role

£27,000

Putney

Monday to Friday, 09:00AM-17:30PM

Overview:

As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will provide great customer service to our internal and external suppliers for all purchase ledger requirements, accurately reconcile the supplier accounts as well as ensuring we are audit and HMRC compliant.



You will apply your previous experience in Purchase Ledging to support the amazing team.

Key Purchase Ledger Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the EDI transactions and suppliers and the management of these key accounts

· Responsible for all Purchase Ledger transactions for allocated suppliers.

· Build working relationships with our restaurants, suppliers and central support departments.

· Ensure all invoices are processed daily into Unit4 (Financial accounting system), posting manually, using the Excel loader, and via the DMS system (Scanning solution).

· Ensure monthly statement reconciliations are completed for all allocated suppliers ensuring no errors or omissions have occurred.

· Process and obtain authorisation on all invoices using the appropriate method.

· Ensure all paperwork is kept and stored as necessary.

· Ensure all period close deadlines are met including accruing invoices, (where an invoice for services/goods received has not been received).

· Create new supplier accounts or supplier amendments in Unit4.

· Deal with all purchase ledger related queries received from supplier

· ADHOC assistance and support for the finance team.

· To be able to embrace the Finance Team values maintaining our solid foundation of core beliefs, purpose, principles and goals.





To be successful in this role you'll will need to have:

· Passion for Finance and is or planning on studying towards a financial qualification

· GCSE equivalent - Finance/Maths- Preferred but not essential.

· System knowledge required: Excel (Intermediary Skills).

· Enjoys being part of a team and wants to contribute within the team i.e. great team player

· Accuracy & strong attention to detail.

* Excellent communicator both verbally and written with the ability to liaise in a courteous and friendly manner
* Have a passion and can do attitude to deliver a great job.
* Ability to work in a fast changing environment.
* Flexible & adaptable.

· Problem Solving Skills - ensure that any problems are resolved to a high standard
