An opportunity has arisen for a Catering Assistant/Food Production Operative to join a small friendly team. You will be working on a temporary basis for a highly successful food manufacturing company in a chilled environment based near Maidstone.

Ideally you will have a knowledge of good manufacturing practices. In addition to this, you will be numerate, literate and computer literacy is advantageous.

The operation involves manually mixing ingredients to a specific recipe, packing into containers and labelling.

This is a very physical role with manual handling of boxes and tubs of ingredients. In addition to this the mixing and packing is carried out by hand.

Other duties include receiving of ingredients, visual check of packaging, temperature checks, confirmation of goods received against orders, unloading and storage. Also, monitoring of storage temperatures and correct stock rotation.

Hours of work are 8.30am to 5.00, Monday to Friday.
