Job: Graduate Trainee Broker

Salary: £25,000

Location: London



Lloyd's Broker is looking for a graduate to join their busy team within the Energy/ Power team. This will be to support the broking team, account executives and provide a level of administrative assistance.



Main Duties:

* Managing own workload and time under the guidance of broker/manager to ensure that deadlines are met

* Preparation of MRC Slips in conjunction with Account Executives.
* Providing assistance to the brokers in their day-to-day tasks, including the use of trading platforms
* Preparing submissions for marketing purposes for new and renewal business in a comprehensible manner

* Developing an understanding of clients risks and requirements
* Developing an awareness of market conditions
* Developing an awareness of the FCA Guidelines and Group rules and procedures
* Understanding and working within the parameters of the role as directed by Manager
* Following instructions from brokers accurately and efficiently, ensuring all written communication is authorised by Manager

Key Skills/ Experience:

* Degree educated
* Learning and developing awareness of market, industry and specific business class through internal/external coaching and mentoring, reading files and appropriate articles/publications
* Build and develop relationships with producers and underwriters to further and align to the team's business objectives
* Ability to speak another language would be advantageous
