Citizens Advice Swale is an independent local charity providing free, impartial and confidential advice locally within the Borough of Swale and as part of national schemes, supporting over 3500 clients annually through our face-to-face, phone and online services.
We currently have an exciting new vacancy focusing primarily on training for our team, including specific support for volunteers - but also providing a suitable candidate with the opportunity to develop other aspects of our organisation, including fundraising, project management and supervising on-site and remote advisers.
The role will be principally based in one of our offices in Sittingbourne or Faversham, but is likely to include an element of remote working in order to cover our range of activities. Depending on the skills and interests of the appointee, collaboration with partner organisations may also be a feature of the role. Flexibility is a given, and the post would be an ideal next step for someone looking to develop their career within the Citizens Advice service.
Our ideal candidate will have experience advising in Citizens Advice, supporting training and development of others, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and motivate volunteers, alongside a commitment to the aims and principles of Citizens Advice. You will need to be responsive to team and organisational needs, manage fixed and self-managed time effectively, and work well under pressure. Above all, you will be committed to maintaining and building on our high quality service for those who need us.
