What you'll be doing:

* Working on a project delivery team; supporting the low-level virtualisation design and implementation aspects for the Naval Ships product deliveries
* Liaising with key stakeholders in the customer and Technical Authority community to establish, understand, and deliver against the product requirements
* Proposing solutions to complex technical issues and seeing them through from design to implementation and testing
* Supporting the functionality delivered in production, discovering issues, and resolving them before the business is impacted
* Helping to define and promote understanding of virtualisation technologies across the product team



Your skills and experiences:

Essential

* Knowledge of industry-leading virtualisation products and ability to understand their relative merits and applicability to the task
* Specific knowledge of VMware technologies and experience of its application in delivered systems
* Established exposure to VMware vSphere, vCenter Server and associated technologies and tools
* Experience of being in a project delivery team

Desirable

* Experience of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies and the problems that arise with the implementation and deployment of such, in particular VMware HorizonView
* Experience of design document creation and system level details capture
* Experience of SAN and Networking technology.



This role does require security clearence and will be a hybrid position with 2 days a week on site in New Malden.
