Learning and Development Manager needed for care company based in Dover.

Your new company

This is an expanding family-owned care provider with over 50 services located in Folkestone, Dover, Ashford and Herne Bay, supporting adults with highly complex learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health diagnoses within residential and supported living environments. They focus on building bespoke person-centred services around the individual and support them to work towards achieving life-changing outcomes.

Your new role

The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is required to set the strategy for all elements of learning, development, and training within the Company to ensure that internal workforce functions are equipped with the necessary skills to perform their duties to a high standard, which in turn will be reflected in the quality of support services delivered to the service user.

Key responsibilities

* Create an environment which encourages effective teamwork, sharing of best practices, driving innovation, and continuing improvement across all business areas.
* Work with the Chief Administrative Officer and wider Senior Leadership Team to identify training needs and implement engaging strategies to meet objectives.

* Coordination of the Company's Training Needs Analysis, to include all roles within the Company, and creating enrolment plans for the required courses.

* Critically analyse data to make informed decisions in relation to learning and development initiatives.

* Access funding streams for financial support to the learning and development of the workforce, including QCFs, Apprenticeships, and grants through the WDF .

* Coordinate the Company's access to the Levy, ensuring that associated funds are used strategically and support business missions.

* Create and access opportunities for staff to work towards and accomplish further relevant qualifications, including QCFs, and Apprenticeships, and support staff through their completion alongside their line manager.

* Implement Training Agreements where required.

* Work with the Company in the implementation of systems which will support the Department's ability to function more efficiently.

* Ensure the Department utilises and maintains all technology systems, in conjunction with the Company's 'paperless' ethos, to an accurate standard.

* Maintain awareness of industry updates (including through the CQC, DHSCH, and other external bodies) and changes to key legislation which impact care delivery, and subsequently the delivery of training. Courses should then be updated to ensure all training is fully up to date.

* Maintenance of personal qualifications and teaching certifications which enable the effective delivery of training.

* Be able to speak to a multitude of people, often in a group setting.
