My client is a college based in South London, looking to recruit a Head of Finance to manage the day to day operation of the finance function and provide leadership and management to the finance team.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the College, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the long-term goals of the College
- Monitor and report financial performance, identifying areas of improvement and providing guidance and support to department heads especially on budgetary management
- Produce monthly management accounts, with all associated commentary and analysis
- Lead on grant and funding opportunities avaiable to the College
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for the Board of Governors and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

Sector experience to cover any education setting, charity or third sector is essential. Strong knowledge of financial management practices, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management is required.  Ideally formally qualified, but relevant experience is deemed most important.
