Could you help young people reach their potential?

We are looking for people with great communication skills and energy to join our team working with disabled children and young people aged 8-19 years, delivering a programme of early evening activities, Saturday clubs and school holiday trips and events.

The team delivers fun activities that inspire participants, supporting them to build confidence and self-esteem, develop resilience, make friends and try new things. You should have relevant experience of working or volunteering in education, health or social care, or be looking to start a career working with children and young people.

You will work with existing participants and manage new referrals, working with young people and their families to create and update care plans. You will design a programme of activities for your area, which involves planning, organising and risk assessing activities that match the interests and needs of participants, and supports their personal development, independence and community engagement.

You’ll then lead the activities, working alongside colleagues and volunteers to support the young people to participate, interact, have fun and make choices and decisions together. It’s great to see children and young people trying new experiences and achieving goals.

We have full-time (37.5) and part-time (minimum 22.5) hours available in west/north Kent and east Kent (includes regular Saturdays and some early evenings). There is flexibility on hours and days to be worked and this can be discussed on application. Salary is pro rata for part-time roles. It’s essential that applicants have their own car and are willing to train to drive a minibus.

Do a job that is amazing!

We offer our employees:
• Inclusive values-based environment
• Competitive remuneration package
• Workplace pension scheme
• Generous annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays
• Opportunities for hybrid working
• Benenden Health Care
• Death in Service Benefit
• Cycle to Work Scheme
• Employee Supported Volunteering scheme
• Development opportunities
• and more
