We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Manager to join our prestigious client. As a Credit Manager, you will play a crucial role in our finance team, reporting directly to the Global Treasurer. If you have a background in FMCG and possess exceptional financial acumen, this is an outstanding opportunity to make a significant impact within this organisation.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures in accordance with company guidelines and industry best practices.
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness, assess credit limits, and establish payment terms.
- Manage credit risk through effective analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
- Conduct thorough credit investigations, including reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure adherence to credit policies and timely resolution of customer credit issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing support and guidance on credit-related matters.
- Monitor accounts receivable and take necessary actions to minimise delinquencies and bad debt.
- Supervise and motivate a team of credit analysts, providing coaching and professional development opportunities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, legal regulations, and technological advancements in credit management.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Credit Manager within the FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, credit analysis techniques, and financial principles.
- Excellent knowledge of credit management software and ERP systems.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Team management experience is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Professional certification in credit management is advantageous.
