Our client who is a Lloyds Syndicate is looking for a Syndicate Operations Analyst to join their expanding Underwriting department in the London office. This role is a key part of the Underwriting Operations team and will provide input into operating strategy. This is a central function as it underpins the integrity and usefulness of data that drives decisions everywhere within the business; so accuracy, consistency and timelines are paramount.



Main Duties:

* Work in collaboration with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of key processes that support the various underwriting teams.
* This role will require independent data skills with a strong focus on accuracy and execution, whilst also being able to innovate to create improvements within operating models.
* You will need to partner with stakeholders across the business to understand and solve operational challenges.

* Executing existing business processes and delivering improvements in a data-led way, both as part of the Underwriting Operations team and with other teams across the business, on a mix of BAU, tactical and project timelines.
* Subject Matter Expert - with ownership of new and existing processes, tools and controls including maintaining and developing process documentation.

* Collaborating on the design, implementation and evolution of new tools and technology that supports underwriting processes and controls in collaboration with other stakeholders.



Essential Skills Required:

* Previous experience within Underwriting and/or Operational processes
* Strong Insurance knowledge
* Excellent analytical/ data experience
* Strong MS Excel skills



Desirable:

* Good organisation skills
* Use of SQL
* Experience with MI platforms such as Tableau and Power BI is an advantage
