We are looking for a Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join our small friendly team based at our offices in Maidstone, to assist with the day-to-day operations of our payroll and accounts department.
You will be responsible for all aspects of managing client’s employee salary data processing. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payrolls, ensuring accuracy of employee records, responding to employee/clients’ questions and also working along side the director in assisting in the production of the Monthly Management Accounts using a variety of MTD compliant accounts packages.
Requirements and skills
The ideal candidate should have experience of working in a payroll environment or similar role and have the necessary qualities to perform the role.
Knowledge in a payroll software - (full training will also be provided).
Good communicative skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to priorities tasks effectively.
Experience in an accounting environment.
Trustworthy, honest, confidential, helpful, and responsive.
Responsibilities:
Process all aspects of payroll for clients’ employees.
Process weekly and monthly payrolls.
Maintain payroll records.
Verify accuracy of all payroll transactions.
Identify and resolve payroll errors.
Answer employee questions about payroll policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Update live bank feeds for the preparation of clients monthly reports along side the director.
Process monthly CIS returns and invoices for clients.
