Your new role
You will be joining on an initial 12 month contract, with a strong chance of being made permanent. You will be working on both sides of the ledger, for a select group of clients. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Posting invoices onto the finance system (JD Edwards)
* Preparing sales invoices, applications for payment and credit notes and associated supporting documentation
* Liaising with Project Managers to ensure that all invoicing is completed within required timescales
* Working closely with Project Managers, and the Cash Collections team to ensure timely resolution of billing queries and collection of cash
* Supporting correct allocation of costs to projects, including staff allocations, time transfers and Accounts Payable-related support
* Supporting project managers with timesheet-related queries
* Reviewing and analysing differences between forecast and actual monthly billing
* Liaising with internal and external auditors
* Liaising with the Financial controller to ensure that all month end tasks are completed on a timely basis
What you'll need to succeed
You will bring 6 months - 2 years experience in a finance role. You will have strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, and the ability to learn new finance software. You will have strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently. You will have a plan to reliably commute to Epsom once a month. Beginning AAT studies is desirable but not essential.
