A new instruction for a PERMANENT Project Engineer with an established manufacturing client and key employer within the area.

The organisation has 2 Engineering Teams and this new position, is placed within the Engineering & Facilities Department.

Package:
Attractive salary
37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with an early finish on Friday
24 days holiday plus bank holidays (can also buy/sell up to 3 days per year)
4% all employee bonus scheme (discretionary)
9% matched pension contribution
Medical/Health cash back scheme
Based onsite 5 days per week

Skills & Expertise:
3-5 years’ experience in Project Management, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Graduated with a degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Prince 2 qualification is desirable.
Stellar communication capabilities.
Robust IT proficiency, with expertise in Excel.
Proficient in technical drawing using AutoCAD (not mandatory, but training will be required if not experienced).
Independent, proactive, and pragmatic.
Consistently achieves results.

The Position:
You will support the Engineering Manager in overseeing and executing capital investment projects throughout UK branches and occasionally European sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, precisely, and within the budget.
Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager to oversee project integration into the business, sharing updates and ensuring milestones are met.
Partner with the facilities group to set up a KPI system to gauge activity performance.
Evolve and oversee the site's CAD drawings archive.
Act as a pivotal member in shaping the factory site project protocols.
Concentrate on capital enhancements for the site, liaising with all departments about site necessities.

Duties:
Perform tasks and roles as directed by the Projects and Facilities Engineering teams to grow skills and capabilities essential for an Engineer in a manufacturing context.
Lead the Project Gates Monthly meeting as a communication medium, connecting with the project team and all other departments.
Monitor and be accountable for project Change control and become the SME in change control within the department.
Formulate and carry out project communications and KPI monitoring.
Master the skill of troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Ensure project expenditures remain within the sanctioned budget.
Share vital project details with management and the entire workforce when needed.
Modify site documents/drawings to represent alterations.
Finalize Project Turnover packages.

Health & Safety :
Stay informed, comprehend, and adhere to all company Health & Safety guidelines, including accident/incident reporting and first aid.
Report any mishaps or potential dangers to the Health, Safety, and Environment Officer.
Always adhere to Safe Work Protocols.
Engage the HS&E Department throughout all project stages.
