Career Development Coach for Career Path+

Join a pioneering project addressing the shortage of recruits in treatment and recovery services in the London Borough of Southwark. As a Career Development Coach, you'll engage participants with lived experience of substance use, transferable skills, or economic inactivity, providing them access to training and employment opportunities.

Salary - £25k-£29k FTE - Pro-rata for part-time hours

Hours - 22.5hr - 30hr Monday - Friday fixed term end 31st March 2025

Key Responsibilities:

* Screen and refer new participants, ensuring alignment with program criteria.
* Conduct risk assessments and escalate safeguarding concerns.
* Utilise career assessment tools for participant evaluation.
* Source and coordinate support pathways through referral partners.
* Promote and match participants with training and employment opportunities.
* Facilitate employability workshops and personal development sessions.
* Monitor participant progress and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

* Experience in recruitment, career coaching, or relevant guidance roles.
* Knowledge of substance use challenges and employment issues.
* Familiarity with partnership working and government agencies.
* Strong communication and IT skills.
* Understanding of safeguarding and risk management procedures.
