Key Account Manager

We are excited to support our well-known client, an independent wholesaler to the hospitality sector, in their search for a Key Account Manager for the south west London area (including Knightsbridge).

You will enjoy building relations, be self-motivated and have the ability to organise your day to maximise opportunities within your area. There is a strong focus on new business, while maintaining relationships with existing customers.

This is a field-based role with occasional visits to HQ in east Kent, and you will therefore be required to have a full, clean UK driving licence. Some working from home time while undertaking administrative duties.

In return for your hard work, you will receive a highly competitive basic salary, car allowance & fuel card, bonus and incentives. Other benefits include life assurance, auto enrolment pension, ability to purchase products at cost price, annual leave increases with service.

Duties include:

* Grow, develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customer portfolios
* Understanding customer needs to promote products and solutions
* Follow up new leads in a timely manner
* Negotiating contracts and agreements to create detailed proposals part of a formal bidding process
* Advise customers on forthcoming product developments and promotions
* Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential risks or opportunities
* Attend weekly team (via video platform) and monthly all team meetings in person
* Provide ongoing support to our customers, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise
* Make accurate cost calculations to provide customers with quotations
* Collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products or services
* Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations

The ideal candidate will have the following:

* Previous field sales based experience in same sector
* Industry knowledge and experience
* Strong communication skills
* Strategic thinker
* Highly organised and able to plan and problem solve proactively
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* A good level of numeracy
* Good working knowledge of IT systems, including word and excel
